Martin Luther King Day March - January 20, 2014

A dozen Old Firsters joined a couple of thousand others marching from CalTrain to Yerba Buena Garden for speeches remembering Dr. King and reflecting on his legacy and still-unrealized dreams. The march commemorates the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery march for voting rights.

Pastor Maggi welcomed marchers to Yerba Buena Gardens (where SF’s MLK Memorial is), kicking off the speeches and celebrations on behalf of the SF Interfaith Council, of which she is currently Chair.
