- Donate to a refugee resettlement organization. It will lose significant federal funds because the President slashed refugee arrivals for the current fiscal year by more than half.

- Donate in-kind. Visit Give In-Kind for current needs for refugees in Oakland and how we can organize a drive.
- Host a do-it-yourself fundraiser/friendraiser. Invite friends and people in our networks to come together to support the IRC, JFCS or the ACLU.
- Support courageous reporters. Call or write to thank a reporter for doing a good job, or write a letter to the editor.
- Support a free press by reinstating the newspaper subscriptions that we dropped. Good journalism has never been more important.
- Sign up for advocacy alerts. For example, Church World Service Advocacy Alerts.
- Be a friend. Ask immigrants we know or meet what the past few months have been like for them.
